  • Nishant Kumar is an Indian engineer who is known for being the only son of Indian politician Nitish Kumar.
  • During his school days at St. Karen’s in Patna, one of his teachers once hit Nishant badly in the school. As a result, he got a severe lump on his forehead and developed a fever. When Nitish Kumar heard the matter, he became very upset and got Nishant’s name removed from the school.
  • Later, Nishant Kumar was sent to a boarding school in Mussoorie. However, after a few days when he felt homesick, he was called back to Patna by his mother and was enrolled in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
  • His mother, Manju Sinha, died of a prolonged illness in 2007. Later, a park in Kankerbagh was named after his mother.
