Controversies• In October 2011, Shirish Kunder stirred a controversy when he tweeted against the Bollywood film Ra.One (2011), starring Shah Rukh Khan. Kunder posted a tweet, which read, [4]The Times of India

Later, he also published comments sent to him by other Twitter users, one of which read,

• In January 2012, a quarrel between celebrated Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan and Shirish Kunder garnered massive attention. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan pinned down Kunder on a sofa and slapped him. Allegedly, the incident took place at Sanjay Dutt’s party at a popular nightclub in Juhu, which was attended by Bollywood A-listers. Following the incident, Kunder tweeted,
"We have no intention of filing an FIR or a police complaint.”

• In 2016, Shirish Kunder filed a lawsuit against the Nepali filmmaker Aneel Neupane, claiming Rs. 5 crores. Shortly after the release of Kunder's short film 'Kriti' (released in June 2016), Neupane accused Kunder of copyright infringement, citing the similarities between the of Neupane's short film 'Bob' and 'Kriti.' 'Bob' had released seven months before the release of 'Kriti.' Reportedly, Neupane demanded Rs. 25 lakhs as compensation for stealing the central idea of 'Bob.'   • Shirish Kunder is an Indian film editor and director who is known for being the husband of Farah Khan, an established film director, producer, actress, dancer, and choreographer in Bollywood. Starting his career as an editor with the film ‘Champion’ (2000), Kunder made his screenwriting and directorial debut with ‘Jaan-E-Mann’ (2006).
