- Shivam Mavi is an Indian cricketer who is known for pace bowling. He is known for bowling at speeds excessive of 140 kmph. He is also considered a good fielder and hard-hitting batsman who can hit big shots. He burst into international cricket with 4 wickets in his debut T20I match.
- His ancestral village is the Seena village in Mawana tehsil of Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh where his grandmother lives.
- He was interested in cricket since childhood and played cricket in the streets.
- His parents were anxious about his future as they were a middle-class family and told him to play less cricket and study more; however, he succeeded in convincing them to play cricket.
- He started training under the coach Phoolchand Sharma at the Billabong Academy in Noida at the age of ten.
- He was a batsman during his childhood; however, coach Sharma noticed that Mavi was very aggressive during bowling and very cool during batting. He then told Mavi that he should become a bowler.
