Controversy | A legal case against Sanjay Gadhvi: In June 2010, a case under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code was filed against Sanjay Gadhvi at the Delhi High Court. Reportedly, the Indian film company 'Studio 18' registered a complaint, accusing Gadhvi of not delivering the script on time. The company claims that in January 2008, they had a contract for two films with the filmmaker and also made an advance payment of Rs 4 crores to him. In October 2008, they planned to start their first film, '7 Days in Paris,' but Gadhvi was not ready with the script. - He wanted to become a filmmaker since childhood.
- After assisting Anant Balani on the film ‘Patthar Ke Phool’ (1991), he continued to work as his assistant director for two more films.
- His first directorial venture was the film ‘Tu Hi Bataa,’ featuring Arjun Rampal and Raveena Tandon. However, the film was not released due to some budgetary issues.
- Gadhvi’s directorial debut film ‘Tere Liye’ (2000) did not succeed at the box office.
