Controversies | • Received Backlash for His Sexist Comments In 2013, after his performance at IIT Bombay, a student from the college, Arpita Phukan Biswas, wrote a blog accusing Sen for passing sexist comments during his event. She wrote, "He said that girls were beautiful creatures of god while men are more intelligent and a few more sexist comments.” He received huge backlash for making such comments. However, he denied it and said that the girl misinterpreted his statements. He even demanded an apology from the college for defaming him. - Palash Sen grew up in Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi.
- His father was a fan of the Indian cricketer Polly Umrigar, so he kept Palash’s name as Polly.

- During his school days, he actively participated in various extracurricular activities.
- The Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan was his schoolmate. They performed together in various stage shows, dance performances, and musical plays. Palash was the first person to playback (singer) for Shah Rukh Khan in a musical play Wiz in his school.
- Earlier, he thought of becoming an actor. However, when he participated in singing competitions in school, he started developing an interest in singing. He grew up listening to the American singer Elvis Presley. With his schoolmates, he even formed a band named Quartz.
- During his college days, he started a music band named ‘Euphoria.’ In the initial few months of the band, he composed only English songs. Later, the Indian DJ Bhaduri joined his band.
- A few music albums released by Euphoria are ‘Phir Dhoom’ (2000), ‘Gully’ (2003), ‘Mehfuz’ (2006), ‘Sharnaagat’ (2012), and ‘Sale’ (2021).
