• Aniruddh Rawal is the younger son of veteran actor, Paresh Rawal and former Miss India, Swaroop Sampat.

• In 1979, Swaroop Sampat was crowned Miss India and went on to appear in movies and TV shows. Swaroop Sampat and Paresh Rawal got married in 1987.

• A year later in 1988, Paresh Rawal appeared in Kabzaa, the first movie of Mahesh Bhatt‘s under the Vishesh label.

• Aditya Rawal, his elder brother, also followed in the footsteps and opted for a career in films later working as an actor and screenwriter.

• Early in his career, Aniruddh gravitated toward theatre and training and stayed away from acting.

• In 2014, Aniruddh was training under the guidance of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and that he had previously collaborated with Ratna Pathak Shah, wife of Naseeruddin in the theatre.

• Aniruddh first learned the art of making a film from behind the camera.

• In 2016, he was an assistant director for Sultan, starring Salman Khan.
