- Sahil Khattar is a well established Indian television host, actor, and YouTuber content creator. He came is famous for hosting his YouTube channels ‘Khattarnaak’ and ‘Being Indian.’
- Sahil Khattar was born and brought up in Chandigarh, India. He is a sports enthusiast since childhood. Sahil represented India at the Asian Games Roller Hockey event and won a Bronze Medal in the same.
- Soon after completing his formal education, Sahil Khattar, in 2007, started working as a radio jockey for Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, a popular radio station of Chandigarh. He hosted a show called “Love Guru.”
- Sahil Khattar, in 2011, moved to Mumbai to pursue her dream of becoming an actor. He tried his best and managed to conscience his parents who wanted him to settle down in their city and join their family business. He further added,
Thank God, that I stepped outside and opened up my own YouTube channel in between and I started getting many deals. There is no big proof about my talent apart from ‘Being Indian’. It is an honour and pleasure to be associated with it.”
- Sahil Khattar was on a contract with Culture Machine for their YouTube channel ‘Being Indian’ and was supposed to work on scripts which made him feel restricted, therefore he started his own YouTube channel named “Khattarnaak.” While talking about his decision to simultaneously work for his own YouTube channel, he said,

- Sahil Khattar began his acting career in 2021 with the crime thriller film ‘200 Halla Ho,’ directed by Sarthak Dasgupta and Alok Batra. The directors narrated a real-life incident that happened in 2004 in which 200 Dalit women came together to file a legal complaint against Akku Yadav, a gangster, robber, serial rapist, and killer. Sahil played the character of ‘Bali Choudhary’ in the film opposite Amol Palekar, Barun Sobti, Ishtiyak Khan, Upendra Limaye, Rinku Rajguru, and received huge critical acclaim. The film was digitally released on the OTT platform, ZEE5, on 20 August 2021.
- Next, Sahil Khattar became part of one of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood in 2021 ’83,’ which is a Hindi-language sports film showcasing India’s Incredible 1983 Cricket World Cup Victory. The lead cast included Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, and R Badree. Sahil Khattar portrayed the role of former Indian cricketer Syed Kirmani who was part of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian team. ’83’ was announced by Reliance Entertainment and Vibri Media in 2017 in the presence of a team that had won the 1983 World Cup, including Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Mohinder Amarnath, Yashpal Sharma, and some others. While preparing for the role, Sahil underwent tremendous training sessions and suffered a number of injuries. While talking about his preparations, he said,
I had injured all my body parts, including my hands, legs, and back, which were all were swollen while playing the game. We were made to do 250 squats every day. I think after Beyonce, my butt should be insured. Because of the training, I have become so fit while shooting for the film.”
- Apparently, Sahil Khattar was selected for playing the role of Syed Kirmani because of his great resemblance to him. According to him, he never auditioned for the role but did take acting lessons after his selection. During the media interaction, he said,
The good part was I never auditioned for the role. It was given to me after looking at my face. I look like a twin brother of Syed Kirmani. So when the film came to me, I was actually in a good state of mind where I could recognize the potential of this film.”

He further added,
Earlier ‘Being Indian’ used to run on sketch and non-fiction but now we are going to do long-form content as well. So, we are going to stream web series, sketches, skits, and street interviews. I am happy that things are under my control and I am going to figure out what the programming would be. We would do live shows like Saturday Night, a lot of talk shows, sketch comedy, reaction videos as well as blogs along with FIFA screening as well.”
