Controversy	Accused of Illegally Running a Restaurant Bar in Goa On 23 July 2022, it was INC leader Pawan Khera who alleged that Zoish was running a bar illegally in Goa during a press conference. Thereafter, Smriti Irani, during a press conference, confirmed that her daughter was a student and did not run a bar in Goa. On the contrary, a video of food critic Kunal Vijayakar’s show 'Khane Mein Kya Hai' went viral on the internet in which Vijayakar addressed Zoish as the owner of Silly Souls Goa Cafe & Bar. They also accused her of procuring the license of the bar “fraudulently” in the name of a deceased person. Later, Smriti Irani called these accusations “malicious” and said that her daughter Zoish was being targeted only because she did a press conference aginst Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Smriti Irani further said, "The allegation that my daughter runs an illegal bar is malicious with the intent not only to assassinate her character but also to politically malign me. And to the Gandhi family, which directed that this press conference [by Congress] be held against my child, I tell you this, send Rahul Gandhi back to fight the Lok Sabha election in 2024 from Amethi and he will lose again. • In 2022, a video of food critic Kunal Vijayakar’s show Khane Mein Kya Hai was shared on Twitter by some Congress leaders in which Kunal was seen taking to Zoish Irani, who owned a restaurant named ‘Silly Souls Bar & Café’ in Goa. The Congress leaders said that the liquor license of the restaurant was issued in the name of a deceased person. They accused Zoish of illegally owning the restaurant. Zoish’s mother sent a legal notice to the leaders who were allegedly involved in defaming her daughter.
