Putting an end to all the speculations, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have announced the date of their marriage at last. The star-duo is set to tie the nuptial knot on November 14-15, 2018. The year 2018 sure does prove to be the year of surprises ever since the grand wedding of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja or the secret nuptials of Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia took place.
Soon after the onscreen ‘Bajirao-Mastani’ announced their wedding date on October 21, their fans and media went frenzy. Amidst growing speculations about each detail of their wedding, the celebrity couple, popularly known as ‘DeepVeer,’ has picked up the strikingly romantic location of Lake Como, Italy as their wedding destination.

The pair has always been vocal about their feelings for each other and seen praising each other at one time or the other, be it interviews or their comments on the social media accounts. However, neither of them have accepted their relationship publicly.
When Did It All Begin?
Reportedly, it all began back in the year 2012 when Ranveer Singh saw his would-be ‘Mastani’ at the Zee Cine Awards in Macau. Deepika Padukone was dazzling in a sparkling silver gown which made Ranveer ‘go flat.’

Their Blossoming Romance
In 2012, Sanjay Leela Bhansali cast him in his then-upcoming project ‘Goliyon ki Raasleela…Ram Leela.’ Their romance flowered on the sets of this film which paved the way for the rumour of them dating each other. The movie proved to be the pathbreaking performance of the duo and was one of the highest grossing movies of the year 2013.
The subsequent year, 2013, was a professionally fruitful year for Deepika Padukone. Her movies ‘Race 2’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Chennai Express’, and ‘Ram Leela’ were huge commercial successes. In the same year, Deepika was shooting for her drama film ‘Finding Fanny’ and Ranveer made it a point to drop on the sets of the movie frequently. If reports are to be believed, Deepika was totally unaware of Ranveer’s cameo in ‘Finding Fanny.’

Ranveer was diagnosed with dengue, in 2013 itself. He was even admitted to a hospital for two days. After being discharged, when asked if he felt it was love, he said,
“I feel it is love. Dekhiye Mujhe ho gaya hai lovaria.”
Talking about his love life in the same interview with the Times of India, Ranveer Singh said,
“It’s good. It’s rocking. I love being in love. It’s the best feeling in the world. I have never felt like this before.”
When Deepika Padukone was asked about her reaction on Ranveer Singh’s ‘lovaria’ comment, the actress cheekily said,
“No, it’s amazing, the way he is. He is so unique. And I think what I admire about him is that he is so unapologetic about the way he is.”
While shooting for the 2014 flick, ‘Happy New Year,’ the actress had gone to Dubai and was away from home for quite a long time. Apparently, Ranveer flew to Dubai only to meet his ladylove and party with her. These reports further gave meaning to their dating rumours.
No matter how hard the celebrity couple tried to hide their relationship, but their passionate performance at the Zee Cine Awards (2014), left their fans in utter delight. The audience was thrilled.
Even Deepika did not shy away from surprising her beau. While Ranveer was shooting in Spain for ‘Dil Dhadakne Do,’ Deepika paid him a surprise visit on the sets on the film. Her visit not only added fuel to the fire of their romance but also left the co-actors confused.

In the coming years, the blossoming romance of ‘DeepVeer’ left the fans enthusiastic. When IIFA 2015 was organized in Malaysia, Ranveer made it sure to welcome his girlfriend with a hearty move. The actor got down on his knee and sang ‘Ram Chahe Leela’ all the way for Deepika.

The celebrity couple welcomed the year 2015 together while holidaying in the Maldives. Deepika was with her family while Ranveer joined the Padukone clan a few days later. Moreover, 2015 was also the year when Deepika starrer ‘Piku’ released, for which she also won the ‘Filmfare Award for Best Actress.’ Apparently, Ranveer could not stop praising his lady for her performance. Their ‘Hot’ Vogue Shoot
The thrilling chemistry between Ranveer and Deepika outshone every other thing when they sizzled on the Vogue India grand anniversary cover. The ‘oomph’ factor was way too much to handle. Even Ranveer himself agreed and said,
“Nobody looks at anything else when Deepika is in the frame.”
Flirtatiously, he remarked,
“I wouldn’t!”

When the shoot of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ ended, it was Deepika who chopped off Ranveer’s moustache.
In the year 2016, the couple opened a bit more about their relationship. While Deepika was performing at the IIFA Awards 2016, she did not miss a chance to send out flying kisses to Ranveer, further strengthening the rumors of the pair dating.
What was more surprising was that Deepika and Ranveer left the Ambani bash holding hands!

Deepika caused a stir in 2017 when she marked her debut in Hollywood with the movie ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ alongside Vin Diesel. The couple was not only spotted at the premiere of the Hollywood movie but was also seen complemented each other in coordinated metallic outfits at Ambani’s Ganpati celebrations.

The blockbuster ‘Padmaavat‘ was like a present for the ‘DeepVeer’ fans. However, the couple did not share much space on the screen. Nonetheless, their fans could not ask for more. The film went on to become a Bollywood hit and the duo, once again, was hand-in-hand at the premiere of ‘Bajirao Mastani.’

Their relationship was confirmed when Deepika appeared on the season 6 of ‘Koffee With Karan’ with Alia Bhatt. The beans were spilled! The announcement of their marriage coincided with the release date of the episode featuring Deepika.

The Celebrity Wedding
The celebrity duo had two wedding ceremonies. The ‘Deepveer’ wedding was held at the beauteous location of Villa Del Balbianello, Lake Como.
The much-awaited wedding affair kick-started with a traditional pre-wedding ‘Nandi Puja’ held at Deepika’s residence at Bengaluru.

The celebrity couple got engaged in the presence of just 40 people on 13 November 2018. The details of the occasion are not yet out. Moreover, a mehndi and a sangeet ceremony were also held on 13 November 2018. Both the ceremonies took place at different venues.
One of the ceremonies took place at the CastaDiva Resort overlooking Lake Como while the other one was held at Villa d’Este, which is about five kilometres away. The couple wore pink and red colour-coordinated Sabyasachi outfits.
On 14 November 2018, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot as per Konkani traditions.
