Some Lesser Known Facts About Shahrukh Khan
- His parents named him after a famous Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan. That’s because his mom’s cousins were big fans of the actor. Shahrukh says,
My mother’s cousins were huge fans and they practically forced my parents to name me after him.” [3]The Hindu
- Shahrukh Khan started his journey playing tennis ball cricket. He later attended St. Bede’s Academy, which is known for producing cricketers like Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Krishnamachari Srikkanth.
- His father, Masood Khan, played cricket in Chennai’s second division league.
- After getting trained at the SDAT Academy and Kedar CA in Chennai, Shahrukh started playing for Tamil Nadu in age-group cricket.
- When he turned 13, he started playing league cricket.
- Shahrukh Khan won the best all-rounder award for his performance in the first edition of the Junior Chennai Super Kings tournament.
- In 2011-12, UFCC (T. Nagar) signed him for the first division. Then, in 2012-13, he joined the Indian Bank to play.

He was in the reserves for four years before he finally made his debut in 2018.”
